Community Recognition
The Yuma County Chamber of Commerce recognizes many inspiring leaders in the greater Yuma area. We have no shortage of people who can translate intentions into reality and sustain them. Through our different award programs, the Chamber acknowledges a few, recognizing them for their contributions to the Chamber and the community at large.
Business of the Year
The Business of the Year Award represents excellence, innovation, leadership, and meaningful impact within our community.
Small Business Person of the Year
Small businesses are the heartbeat of Yuma County. They take risks, create jobs, and fuel innovation across our region. The Small Business-Person of the Year award recognizes local business people operating successfully in the Yuma market and contributing to high standards of excellence and community participation. It is presented each year at the Annual Awards and Installation Dinner.
Member of the Year
Honors a member whose engagement, leadership, and service truly embody the spirit of our Chamber. The Member of the Year award is selected from the previous year's Member of the Month recipients and presented each year at the Awards and Installation Dinner.
Member of the Month
The Member of the Month award is a tribute to Chamber members who go all out, giving their time, energy, and donations to support the community. This award is presented at a Good Morning Yuma breakfast.
Ambassador of the Year
Our Ambassadors are often the first to welcome new members, the first to show up at ribbon cuttings, and the steady presence behind so many of our events. This award celebrates one of the most visible and committed roles within our Chamber.
Chamber Champion
The Chamber Champion acknowledges a Chamber member who promotes the Chamber and its mission. They are often found at events talking about how the Chamber has helped their business and always encouraging businesses to join due to the benefits they have gained from being a member. Each year we recognize a member who actively promotes and advocates for the Chamber - someone who amplifies our mission and strengthens our business community through engagement and partnership.
Athena International Award
The Athena Award acknowledges local women who have attained and personified the highest level of excellence in their business or profession, devoted meaningful time and energy to the community, and generously assisted women in achieving their full potential.
